Floral in January

I love this month. Because there's almost a renewal feeling after the sluggish November and December.
Flower pattern always makes me happy. Such a childish thing to say but I am a total sucker for ditsy prints. Here are some few floral things I bought and received as a birthday gift.

Sweet Pink

Thou I am perfectly happy on dressing my daughter in second hand clothing, sometimes there aren't enough item on sale within the right size. And as her growth spurts is rapidly fast I had to find few basic items for the little lady so that she could change into. During an update wardrobe splurge for myself and my mother, I couldn't resist looking at Primark's childrenswear and home department. Above pictures was few of my favourite bits. BG had so many compliments on the 3 piece sets of heart prints blouse. As mention on the previous post about her weight, she is gaining weight perfectly and manage to fit in size 6-9 moths and happily wear the next size up.

The Fine strokes

Best t-shirt for a creative day, making print in the studio, and watching David Attenborough on Friday evening.
From Topshop.
I was so happy to be able to help setting up two gorgeous stand at Knit and Stitch show in Harrogate. And I had a quick preview of Tilike Schwarz's work before it was hanged for public to see.

A couple of my work from the Trend book project was also up among the other fab sample of work from the rest of the year group.

All these efforts are for raising money for the New Designer show. So Be sure to spend your pocket money on Bradford College stand to get those delicious handmade goodies.

Poetry in Motion

Making collages of my fabric collection made my day so much. I almost forgot how fun it is to just 'go with the flow' when it comes to putting textures together.

Miss Bruno's next year collection is soooooooo beautiful. I could just hang those silk dresses on the wall so that I could admire them everyday.

I better get back to my stitching before becoming too dreamy.

Productive day

I have been working quite a bit to get the ideas, and drawings done in the past three weeks. But the body can only take so much (stress pain, and lethargic from fresher's flu) until it decided to stop. So I have been resting for two days and really looking forward for printing my acetate tomorrow.
I absolutely love it when the sun is out. My pretty flowers bought from the market since last week, still blooms wonderfully. The bursting yellow and orange reminded me to get back on track and being a bit more organised towards my other module. I feel so so lucky to be where I am at the moment.

Currently feeling really inspired by the mended jeans shirt from the book below.

So very lucky also that I borrowed it for FREE from the Leeds Central Library. Long live Cheapskate living!! OLE.

Peach, silver, and beads.

on the 5th of July I attended my first western wedding in Yorkshire. With the typical little sunshine and majority of rain, the teal and white coloured themed wedding looked so modern against the grand venue of Waterton Park hotel, Wakefield. Vintage jewellery, a mid heel from Marks and Spenser shoes and a sale Monsoon dress kept me in comfort all day long till the last song was played on the dance floor.

Morning Walk

Early morning walk before the rush hour starts on my way to Li Edelkoort's trend workshop.
Lots of Romance and large sparkly beads in Ralph Lauren.

Despite the spelling mistake of my name. Starbuck Vigo street looks like the best Starbuck around the England. Maybe the quietness of place makes it a little bit special when holding a paper cup coffee.
I have re- fall in love with Layers in 16 Conduit street. You really ought to visit this place to appreciate the lovely fabric that are used for the collection on sale.
