A little bit of crafting session can begin again. Since having a table in our bedroom, little things like writing letters or drawing feels like a luxury. Having the sewing machine placed at your daughter's room since we moved to grandma, was not such a good idea.<div>This Saturday we managed to do a quick trip to Hobbycraft in Worthing, after picking up a Nordman Christmas tree in a garden centre. Grace's cousin are coming over again for a sleep over. I thought I would gather easy festive theme craft materials for the little ones. Having a good supply of crafting material is a way of to keep the house peace and calmer (even if its only 30 minutes). </div><div>Papier mache christmas decoration were mostly down to 50p already. And cute Christmas stickers picked by Grace were snapped at only £1 per packet. I was so amazed at the tools and art supply that they have for children and grown ups too after amost half of year not visiting this shop. My best buy was the foldable cardboard shop for £7.50 to complete pretend play of the food and tea sets we have already (mostly birthday presents). I saw this item online so many times online in the past months, and was really pleased with how easy it is to set up and store (especially when you have a small living area for play). </div><div><img id="id_13cb_a1a0_30a3_596f" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-hgRs2vxNO4s/WEZtMwIuMHI/AAAAAAAABSk/SHZB5reRQIs/%25255BUNSET%25255D.png" alt="" title="" tooltip="" style="width: 353px; height: auto;"> <br></div><div>Really you could spend a fortune in this shop if you're the kind of person who would rather sit and make things rather than going to the pub and watch football. </div><div>Fortunately a little bit of common sense on that day managed to just influenced me a tiny bit to grab a stunning, very cheap, and slightly shimmering gold glitter leaf garlands. </div><div><br></div><div><img id="id_ad06_7dac_ad7f_3be5" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-9m9AIohQbdg/WEZtgRA_x0I/AAAAAAAABSw/yzDD9YnzAos/%25255BUNSET%25255D.png" alt="" title="" tooltip="" style="width: 353px; height: auto;"> <br></div><div><br></div><div>What on earth is for? Well in my head at time it was just pretty (a bit tacky but not too worry), then after two rounds of the shop trying to find what else that I don't need. I've decided it's perfect to wrapped around a wreath bone that I picked up at Merchants and Mills's stand, in Knit and Stitched show last year. In my head two weeks ago, was to draw flowers and leaves on a spare felt I have bought for a freelance project last year. Hand cutting your drawings for a garlands shape was just to time consuming. And I really am was too tired after catching up with housework when you just come back from trip to Yorkshire. So this gold, glitter leaf thing is just perfect for a lazy two minutes craft. I just inserted the branches in and out like you are weaving. And hey glitter presto! You are done.</div><div><br></div><div><img id="id_17f9_615b_3c22_4f39" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Z4tt0SKcPRc/WEZtTpGcgrI/AAAAAAAABSo/MICVT6WVqu8/%25255BUNSET%25255D.png" alt="" title="" tooltip="" style="width: 353px; height: auto;"></div><div> </div><div><img id="id_6694_e363_7a37_eb2c" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-_iLaV-eEX9I/WEZtedzvSfI/AAAAAAAABSs/aYXQ37kWiyQ/%25255BUNSET%25255D.png" alt="" title="" tooltip="" style="width: 353px; height: auto;"> <br></div><div>I was a bit obsessed with the copper bone of the wreath last year. You noticed the different stages of blackberries bush slowly pruning into decayed leaves. Or the same rose you walk past every other day, floating into a skinny bride corpse with its yellow tint, or slightly orange green this week.<br />
September was especially green during my walks. I wanted to enjoy every dry and sunny days before the temperature drop. Before layers of autumn clothing prepared and folded to the top of the drawers ready to be wear.<br />

From warm green; olive green on the 70s Camper Van; even to the deepest petrol green shade I noticed on Brighton Pavilion grand door, will cool down a hot headed mummy mood when dealing with toddler tantrum. We have been blessed once more with food derived from G's grandma little patch of vegetable garden. Courgette were especially thriving this summer. We have courgette in almost everyday of our meals, and into almost every possible courgette meals we could thing of (yes including cake and endless length of zoodles (zuchinni-noodles) ).<br />

Some of my fantasy 'green' clothing I love to wear this winter.<br />

The temptation to spend sometimes alone to blog are so rare nowadays. I wondered every evenings while putting Grace to sleep if I ever get to draw, write or sew for myself again one day.<br />
<div>
So here I am pretending to look forward on the idea of Grace going to nursery. She was two in June. Since we moved to a little town in West Sussex from London. We both decided to find the closest nursery around where we lived. I feel that it's for the benefit of the mother's sake and to better Grace's social skill.</div>
<div>
This summer for once has not been the happiest one. Yet at the same time it has been the biggest one in terms of planning our future. Middle of the year always have been my happiest time to form memories. However this year mentally and physically has been one of the heaviest one to burden. My dearest family and having Grace around has thankfully got me back to a healthier me as mum again. I would so love to share these snippets of ups and down in the near future as soon as new routine is starting to settle down. In the mean time here are some pictures of Grace from this summer so far.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<span style="-webkit-composition-fill-color: rgba(130, 98, 83, 0.0980392); color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961); font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">I feel lucky that my daughter loves her food and not afraid of trying out new vegetables and flavour. Being a new mum is another learning opportunities for me to cook quick and healthy meal. </span></div>
<div style="-webkit-composition-fill-color: rgba(130, 98, 83, 0.0980392); color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961); font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
I must admit there are days when all I want to eat is pizza and salad just because I'm so tired. But when there is good ingredient like firm white tofu in the fridge, it helps you being creative on what you can do with other forms of proteins.</div>
<div style="-webkit-composition-fill-color: rgba(130, 98, 83, 0.0980392); color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961); font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
A couple of weeks, my mother kindly brought 2 packets of 400g good quality tofu from Chinatown when she heard me said, that I was craving tofu. Being a worrier and concern that it will go off soon, I cooked both of the packets at the same night. One was for quail egg and green beans stir fry and the other for the mild curry. I love the colours in this stir fry but I put too much ginger, so maybe I will share the better recipes next time.</div>
<div style="-webkit-composition-fill-color: rgba(130, 98, 83, 0.0980392); color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961); font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
I love the mild tofu curry as does the baby. She loves her rice and gentle flavoured curry. The coconut milk gives it sweetness and creaminess that's kind to the stomach.</div>
<div style="-webkit-composition-fill-color: rgba(130, 98, 83, 0.0980392); color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961); font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
Because this is aim for my family (including baby) I did not add any salt or sugar in this batch of cooking. Thou off course you can add them according to your own taste buds.</div>
<div style="-webkit-composition-fill-color: rgba(130, 98, 83, 0.0980392); color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961); font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
So here goes my first recipe.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>

<div>
2 tablespoon of vegetable oil.</div>
<div>

</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>

When I started my first Project Life album this year I was very excited to try the Project Life App that is recently been updated and developed by Becky higgins's company.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I love the idea of composing my photos collage in the palm of my hand whenever I have a spare minutes to sit down. Before committing to take on the project. I did looked at all the possibility that I could do with the album. Like what to put in the pocket pages, colour theme, and most impostantly printing the photos. Since I just discovered scrapbooking this year, working in 12x12 inches size is very new to me. I wanted to start a photo album that are not too complicated and at the same time flexible for archiving decoration. I was familiar with a photo collage editing app before via Google play. But since converting to having a smart iOS operated phone, the possibility of collaging, designing and even drawing are endless. Especially since having my first baby, and deciding for breastfeeding, this form of passing time has help me feeling a little bit more productive with using my spare hands (in sometimes very long hours of baby napping in my arms).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Since I downloaded the app, I must say its better than I could have expected. I can edit the photos directly, there are so many choices of composition, and I love the option of filler cards that are available. And by judging Becky Higgins's social media feed, more and more theme filler cards are added this coming year. After browsing the option on where to print the page I found Photobox in Uk is rather straight forward with it. I did thought of the possibility of buying a printer that would take up 12"x12" scrapbook paper, but since we live in a small flat and planning to move out soon, I think printing them out via professional printing company is the best decision.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
What you need:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A 12"X12" Becky higgins Project Life album</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Becky higgins 12"X12" Project Life Page protectors.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So to begin.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1. You just need to download the app (for iOS) via the Apple store for £0.79</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2. Complete 12"x12" page. Save it to your phone then to your computer (desktop or laptop).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
3. Go to www.photobox.co.uk and select their Canvas and Wall art then 'Wall art' option. Go for the 'Poster' option.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
4.Select the 'Classic poster' option. Then go for the 'Square' option tab. Pick the 12"x12" (30x30cm).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
5. Upload the finished photo page in your computer and select print.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
If you shriek a little at the price of printing one page, I tend to wait until Photobox have some offer and keep doing as much pages I can possibly do and print them at the same time. Also I think its worth the money as the quality is excellent, and considering that photo album are made for life.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-E2yWolVWHiM/VSTZZxXtONI/AAAAAAAAA8k/QZCD0lHDFPM/s1600/IMG_4816.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-E2yWolVWHiM/VSTZZxXtONI/AAAAAAAAA8k/QZCD0lHDFPM/s320/IMG_4816.jpg" height="200" width="200" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-K7-PHKNahXE/VSTY9x_oi3I/AAAAAAAAA8c/IjJERjJmwWo/s1600/IMG_4815.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-K7-PHKNahXE/VSTY9x_oi3I/AAAAAAAAA8c/IjJERjJmwWo/s320/IMG_4815.jpg" height="200" width="200" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-h3aJEwo-WwY/VSTZoGwsXMI/AAAAAAAAA8s/PrF3fIVyCXo/s1600/IMG_4844.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-h3aJEwo-WwY/VSTZoGwsXMI/AAAAAAAAA8s/PrF3fIVyCXo/s320/IMG_4844.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Now that we are in the 16th week of the 2015. I have enjoyed combining the manual way of printing 4"x6" and inserting them to photo pocket pages. I miss having textures and dimension like traditional photo journal. So I have played around with filling the spare Page protectors with 12"x12" paper with individual photos for events that are more special.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Another thing that I love about the digital system is that I could leave a blank space for tickets or tags related to the event of the page and add them later once I have received my ordered purchase.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hope that helps a little. Any more question feel free to leave me comments or e-mail me.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks for reading.</div>

This year's trip to Country living fair was brilliant. I went with my Partner's mother and took babyG to the event. Knowing the building of the event earlier, I felt comfortable breastfeeding around the spare sofa placed outside the exhibit booth. Luckily it was Saturday and most of the offices and shops were closed, and it was quieter than I would've expected.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I think for £12 as an entry ticket was pretty good to see pretty things. I occasionally love to buy the magazine and the product on show was as predictable as their usual content. This time I manage to only spend in one booth for some paper craft supply. My partner's mother really enjoyed the event and picked up more items, as she have more time to look around and tastes many delicious sample around the food section.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
My favourite booth display this year was <a href="http://www.elizawray.co.uk/" target="_blank">Eliza Wray</a> and <a href="http://www.treutmade.com/" target="_blank">treutmade</a>. A new fashion brand <a href="https://www.bluemarmaladelondon.com/blue-marmalade/" target="_blank">Blue Marmalade</a> has the softest fabric to wear for all occasions. On my way out I was admiring greeting cards range by <a href="http://www.ashleythomasdesign.co.uk/" target="_blank">Ashley Thomas</a>, for her 'English quirkiness' graphic collage.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
It wouldn't be a trip to Islington without going to Camden passage. Most little shops I like are very pram unfriendly, but if you have someone to look after your baby outside. Do check out <a href="http://www.loopknitting.com/" target="_blank">Loop</a> for their beautiful collection of yarn. They have sweet collection of Natalie lete product and Julie Arkell's famous papier mâché creation. Then there's <a href="https://www.ifeelsmug.com/" target="_blank">Smug</a> for their trendy lifestyle products. My favourite vintage shop for great books <a href="http://fatfacedcat.com/" target="_blank">Fat Faced Cat</a>, also has great selection of immaculate vintage dresses. Unfortunately their Saturday antique market are especially brilliant. This time I managed to snapped 2 beautiful vintage postcard for £1. I would say a day like that, was 'a successful shopping trip'.</div>

Tucked in on the road where I mostly walked everyday, the little entrance could easily be missed. Luckily their colourful array of shop display is changed frequently in the most sweet colours and not easily forgotten. Their current Easter display was so jolly it will be hard to resist for mum and dad (or someone looking for a gift) and splurge on an item (or two).</div>
<div style="-webkit-composition-fill-color: rgba(130, 98, 83, 0.0980392); color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961); font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">

I picked up a very gentle sleep suit for babyG. This time it's footless because her daddy loves the similar cut I found on charity shop. Baby grows so fast that she only wore it a couple of times. This time, I fell in love with the brand Piccalilly with its sweet floral pattern. The lovely feel of organic cotton is one to keep and treasure forever.</div>

I'm so excited to open the package from Hey little magpie today. I can't believe how fast the delivery process were since I only ordered few bits and bobs yesterday. </div>
<div style="-webkit-composition-fill-color: rgba(130, 98, 83, 0.0980392); color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961); font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
I haven't been this excited for a while since I recently discovered the art of scrapbooking. 4 days to be precise. Starting with waiting a page to dry whilst I was doing baby journal. I was browsing online for some more paints and accidentally clicked on stamps and I think I have found 'my calling'. </div>
<div style="-webkit-composition-fill-color: rgba(130, 98, 83, 0.0980392); color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.701961); font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;">
Back in my textile student days, filling the blank pages on a paper sketchbook was my favourite bit in every project. Also when going to a craft store I never really looked at different department, except for tapes, glue, sketchbook, mount-board, and the very addictive beads sectioned. I then looked at some crafts haul video, wow I didn't know paper design can be so exciting. The Americans of course does it really well in scrapbook crafts skills. I especially fell in love with the brand American crafts after watching <a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvvFQPW_BABn6w-ww87xFNQ" target="_blank">Sparkly CanadianCraftyGirl</a> YouTube channel. Thanks to her, I became a little obsessed with Elizabeth Kartchner's Serendipity design. One thing led to another. There are few other designers which I'm very fond off. I found very few places in the UK that stock all these exciting new graphic design. Hopefully I don't miss out on the new 2015 collection. Especially in 'Hey little magpie'.<br />

Delia Pusey's work shown at Alexandra palace was extremely beautiful. It has been a while since an exhibition gave me goose bumps and that sense of eery-ness. I love the slight melancholy theme about the story. Another that captured me is the fine machine stitches that reminded me of using dissolvable fabric. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
As you can see from the image, the flowers represented hidden messages representing love letter during the First World War. I was lucky enough to have a flick through her sketchbook, which was beautiful also.</div>

Thou I am perfectly happy on dressing my daughter in second hand clothing, sometimes there aren't enough item on sale within the right size. And as her growth spurts is rapidly fast I had to find few basic items for the little lady so that she could change into. During an update wardrobe splurge for myself and my mother, I couldn't resist looking at Primark's childrenswear and home department. Above pictures was few of my favourite bits. BG had so many compliments on the 3 piece sets of heart prints blouse. As mention on the previous post about her weight, she is gaining weight perfectly and manage to fit in size 6-9 moths and happily wear the next size up.<br />

I have been so lucky with the progression of after birth and it's fair to say I started to feel like myself again beside being a new mama. Time flies so fast since I had babyG. I have such respect for all those mummy bloggers and crafters who can do daily post and making fabulous thing among looking after a family. Almost a sad thing to say that I have been looking forward more to preparing dinner and doing the house chores. And a quick Instagram feed is most of the time more convenient platform to stay in touch. Thou recently I've been inspired by few vloggers on YouTube to share experiences as honest as I possibly can. A quick summary of what happen since my maternity leave would just be to ambitious when only given a nap time to write.<br />
<div>
This month babyG are finally settling into a small routine and I have a small confident to write a blog post again. So this blog as you may have already recognised has move on slightly toward my experience on being a mother other than just a lover of art, textiles and design. I hope you enjoy growing together with me as a reader. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Yesterday I weight the baby to a health centre and was very pleased that babyG (bG) is doing perfectly fine. All the perseverance in the first month after birth on breastfeeding has paid off. I found the choice on exclusively breastfeeding her was simpler than expected even when it had to be done in public. The only major drawback is the lack of pretty top I have to wear when I get the chance to go out, due to accessibility easiness before bG starts to cry.<br />

They say 'Your life is over' after you had a baby. I found the journey so far is couldn't be near to the truth. I have explored and learnt so many new things and the satisfaction was better than I would have hope for. Little things become even more meaningful and since I lost my stepfather last year. Our family bonding is closer and more important than anything else. </div>

Not intentionally matching with the threads that I'm working on. I manage to find few images back while I was in my late trimester pregnancy. I was enjoying quick smoothies packed with omega-3 ingredients such as melon, and berries. They were all very delicious alternating with almond or hazelnut milk. My favourite was melon, avocado, hazelnut milk, and honey.</div>
<br />Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12161285408061281664noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1093613860135134239.post-41392873383937720342014-06-21T14:59:00.000+01:002014-06-23T15:01:24.072+01:00Soft baking frenzy<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
One of the skill that I want to learn during my maternity leave was to learn how to bake. Now that I'm in my full term I spent less time walking long distance and settle with spending more time in the kitchen. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I love the idea of using Pinterest to gather ideas for making present for friends through baking or crafting.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I tend to include blueberries In my midweek shopping list. And these big beauties marbles of fruit was perfect to add for the <a href="http://blogs.babycenter.com/life_and_home/back-to-school-breakfast-blueberry-greek-yogurt-muffins/">Blueberries muffin</a> recipe that I have followed via babycentre website. I love adding Greek yoghurt which added some moisture and lightness in the summer. Admittedly I added extra Vanilla to add extra oomph-ness as half of the batch is intended for gift.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-Hvo9ED21SOE/U6W-qc52zOI/AAAAAAAAAxU/hyCezY7LW-E/s640/blogger-image--663274722.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-Hvo9ED21SOE/U6W-qc52zOI/AAAAAAAAAxU/hyCezY7LW-E/s640/blogger-image--663274722.jpg" /></a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Yesterday was all about courgette. Three marvellous vegetable has been sitting for a while in the fridge and I wanted to make other than ratatouille or soup. I've attempted to try it into a cake and the rest for courgettes frittas to along with my calamari. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I have followed the cake recipe from <a href="http://allrecipes.co.uk/recipe/5959/lemon-courgette-cake.aspx?o_is=Hub_TopRecipe_1">here</a> which I'm very pleased. Sadly there weren't any baking powder in the cupboard, so I have replaced it with self raising flour which give it extra fluffiness to texture.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
The lemon and and cream cheese glazing was followed via <a href="http://www.organikal.com/2006/08/22/courgette-cake-recipe/">Nigella Lawson</a>'s recipe. It was added the following day as the soft cheese was absent when I spontaneous decided to make the cake.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-6s_4MkIhx9s/U6W-pWTgXcI/AAAAAAAAAxM/Bj9PWNPCqF0/s640/blogger-image--25435277.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-6s_4MkIhx9s/U6W-pWTgXcI/AAAAAAAAAxM/Bj9PWNPCqF0/s640/blogger-image--25435277.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Now I understand deeply how pleasurable baking can bring to a person. Especially when other people complement how successful cake through effort and time that the baker has spent.</div>

Back in the days when website were pretty basic and mobile phone shopping barely exist. I used to browse hours on end on Foyle's website to find a Louise brook's book, or some rare textile publication that the library didn't have.<div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Fast forward to 2014. It was one of my favourite spot to browse on books. Currently I am very lucky that I only need one bus to get to Tottenham Court Road. And it is so easy to spot the clean new building from outside and large glass door that's very inviting. </span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">On my recent trip I picked up Frankie and French Vogue magazine as a birthday treat. Also few children book for DD (dear daughter).</span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-vj4y8lrc_wQ/VKm8_GFRI3I/AAAAAAAAA2s/tTnu2KgDJGY/s640/blogger-image-614436718.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-vj4y8lrc_wQ/VKm8_GFRI3I/AAAAAAAAA2s/tTnu2KgDJGY/s640/blogger-image-614436718.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div>Amazed by how fast the new elevator in Foyles took me from top floor to lower ground floor. I'd say it's a pretty neat place to use the toilet. Each department was easy to find. They have plenty of events happening on the upper floor and very sweet cafe with one of those trendy looking industrial lights.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><br></span></div><div><font face="Helvetica Neue Light, HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Being a new mum I absolutely love their collection on children books. During my pregnancy I also picked up some very very good after birth book that I still read through for quick guidance. The new floor layout is far from the cluttered old display and very confusing navigation to find what I need. </font></div><div><font face="Helvetica Neue Light, HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Holiday season was rather busy to move around. Especially with a pram. But at the end I was very pleased that the que was very fast. <br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Starting with the pink cab that I saw in central London few weeks ago. You end up with taking snap shots and picking up colours that makes you happy.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
During my walk last Friday. I finally manage to discover and enjoy <a href="http://www.britishmuseum.org/">British museum</a> with all its treasure, even in the midst of school trip children and tourists. I love the linen layers and patterns the Egyptian use for the mummy. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Also nice to see a real Andy Warhol's work in bright pink neon screen print piece in the museum.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I planned to eat my packed lunch in my favourite city garden spot, which was sadly closed for some reason. So ended up squatting in Covent garden and watched people go by.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Second part of the walk was to temptingly went to <a href="http://www.cathkidston.com/?lng=&ctry=GB">Cath Kidston</a>'s store and admire the sale and watched what people are crazily spending their money on. I always find her store exciting when looking at what the vintage goods that the Visual Merchandiser found and somehow camouflaged amongst the new collection.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
One of the perk of going window shopping on your own is that no one ever rush you to go here there then everywhere. I had few more hours to kill time until meeting one of my friends in Fitzrovia. Limited by how far I can waddle around Charing Cross road. My 'hop in and out' visit to <a href="http://www.foyles.co.uk/">Foyles</a> bookshop, ended up to be a few hours visit, on which I will review the place some other time.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I can't believe I only discoverd <a href="http://www.tigerstores.co.uk/">Tiger </a>last week since moving to London. Its one of those places where you read about it years ago in weekend newspaper supplement and never really get the chance to go and see one. I love the many cheeky bright colours, and simple fun print products to brighten up summer.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Lastly, it was <a href="http://www.paperchase.co.uk/">Paperchase</a> in Tottenham court road that was full of pink delightedness, (and many other neutral colours off course). They stock Merchant and Mills product which I'm rather impressed with. For a store that sell paper, their current display and collection are just fantastic. So much natural lights streamed in through the shop. I'd say its a nice place place to have cake in their cafe in the upper floor, when one has the time (even if its with a good book or a really good company).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A walk along Westbourne Gorve bring back a slightly nostalgic feel and always takes me back to the second time I move to England for good, and this was the area where I get to know real 'British' culture.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Now that I am about to embark another chapter in my life, priority change when it comes buying material things. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="http://www.aimelondon.com/petit-aime-boutique.html">Petit Aime</a> in Ledbury Road has been on my list for quite sometimes on a place to visit. Luckily now there is a better excuse to really pop by and coincide with some other meeting arrangement around the area.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
With the help of London map on the Barclays bike point, I found the street fairly quickly and it was 13 minutes away from Notting Hill gate (Should be about 6 minute in normal walking phase). Greeted by the bon bon window display for their Spring-summer styling, I found the space very relax, clean and full of treasures. I particularly love the small stock collection of the many European brand that has a hand made feel, and designer-maker quality of product. There are option also for those who love muted colours on children's wear, or for those love the brightly colour combination trend. Of course they also have wonderful traditional toys, and books that are pleasant enough to buy as a treat for the little one. Their print collection for greeting cards, and wall art were not not harsh on the eye, but fun enough to stand out for a small living area space.</div>

<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hrPWCy-pQOI/U481jNtcp9I/AAAAAAAAAtc/PwhkigI8ztk/s1600/DSCN5154.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hrPWCy-pQOI/U481jNtcp9I/AAAAAAAAAtc/PwhkigI8ztk/s1600/DSCN5154.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
It has been almost 1 month since I ran out of 'The tummy rub oil' by Mama Mio and I have noticed major differences on the dryness on my skin. Itchiness and sometime redness also appear even with a gentle scratch. I have started using the oil since 13 weeks of pregnancy and I have to say its one of the best in the market. Surely its one the most expensive, but I have tried other cheaper brands that quoted themselves as natural and it doesn't work as well as Mama Mio. All the pennies that I thought I'll be saving by buying a cheaper product doesn't worth the money, but luckily my mother loves the stronger smelling and (more potent) other brand's stretch-mark oil and uses them as massage oil instead.<br />
<br />
Starting with the <b>packaging</b>: I love the neon pink line across the bottom to differentiate their pregnancy product and fit for skin range (which is orange). They's only came up with the new packaging this year and it certainly look more pharmaceutical amongst maternity and baby related product.<br />
The bottle for the oil feels heavy and brilliantly pump out the necessary amount to rub in the belly and around the area needed. The opaque colour bottle doesn't allow any lights to come in and reassure that all the ingredients works its magic when in use.<br />
<br />
<b>Smell and Texture</b>: Just like any standard oil its yellow, slippery, and feels slightly thick. In the beginning I used to thought the butter version was better but I change my mind completely after testing the oil version. Using oil is also more economical, as you can just do one pump and spread to more area around the skin. The typically Gravida smell of Mama Mio's product is very gentle on my very sensitive nose. I actually love the soothing smell of it. I have tested other brand recently and I feel the Mama Mio's one is gentle enough to use after you've had your baby. Especially for those who plan to breastfeed and doesn't want to interfere the natural smell of bonding when skin to skin contact is acknowledge. Once I apply the oil I usually do my other skin appliance routine and make-up before I get dress just incase it leaves a clingy mark on your top or dress. Unless you're wearing a maternity camisole underneath a top and in a hurry. I would not suggest wearing a silk top right after you rub this oil around your body.<br />
<br />
<b>Does it work?</b> Oh yes it does (for me anyway). I love using the product (older version then the new version) from the very beginning. It feels like I'm comforting the baby and giving a gentle rub on your skin feels like giving some drink on the thirsty to the ever expanding pregnancy skin. Twice a day routine (after shower in the morning and before going to sleep in the evening) I like to make sure all my upper bodice (below neck front and back) is covered (yup including front chest area) and generously apply around the hips and buttocks. I don't think it will get rid off my old stretch-mark line from loosing and gaining weight from the past. But I've noticed the skin feels like its ready for that big stretch in the next second and third trimester of the pregnancy. Maybe topping it up with the butter version will help the skin to stretch even better for those who has very dry skin.<br />
<br />
So yes I would stock up to this product as an essential maternity product. I love that you can pretty much eat everything in the ingredients list. And the company doesn't shout about some profit going to charity and on heavy marketing campaign. Their <i><a href="http://www.mioskincare.co.uk/catalog/product/view/id/21/s/the-tummy-rub-oil/category/36/">website</a></i> does free delivery which is fantastic if you don't live in London and find it hard to get hold of Mama Mio in high street retail store.<br />
<br />
On the photos I have included 'Gorgeous glow' which is a fantastic facial wash that takes away make-up and clean the skin without feeling dry afterwards. It is also a favourite of the mister in the house due to its gentle smell and perfect for sensitive skin. I have not bother with an in depth review of 'Gorgeous glow' due to not continuing to purchase the product as I have successfully find a cheaper alternative that both the mister and I love. But please give 'The Tummy Rub Oil' a try or buy one for any pregnant you know as a gift if you're thinking to buy as a treat. Every mama to be love to be pampered and I think its a nice feeling to have someone else still care about the mama and not just the new bundle of joy thats about to arrive.<br />

Fine weather makes a trip to Bath a very memorable one. A beautiful dinner at <a href="http://www.thebathpriory.co.uk/">The priory</a> summed up morning walk around the city centre. There were so many beautiful shop that was difficult to resist. But at the end I was very happy with few bargains that I found in charity shop near the hotel where we stayed.</div>
